What is Optiwhite™ low iron glass?
Optiwhite™ is a specially developed float glass which displays none of the slight green tint apparent in most standard ‘clear’ glasses.
Optiwhite™ has superior performance when compared with conventional clear float products; this includes higher light transmission and greater solar heat transmittance.
Benefits
- Reduced iron content
- Very high light transmission
- Absence of “green” tint compared to clear float glass

It's not a lot more it does scratch easier than standard. But it's worth it imo even just the front panel. My tanks now acrylic as I didn't want corners on the front but I was going to get a optiwhite glass tank for clarity. The acrylic is clear though |

I had opti white fitted to the front panel on the tank you built me.
Wish I had the sides done as well?
Perfect view of my rays from the front but the side has a slight green tint due to the iron content on the standard glass side panels |
